Alimento Polímerico.

At the “Morfolab” study group of Experimental Morphology Research line from the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, we are developing the project called “Edible Polymer” or Alimento Polímerico, where food is studied as a possible material to control and materialize form by combining techniques used in food preparation and industrial processes applying them to objects.

This project proposes explorations in three methodological instances. The first refers to the characterization of materials through analogies, the second poses techniques of controlled transformation and the third controls the morphological characteristics to achieve a certain shape.

Edible Polymer seeks to generate controlled morphologies through food as a possible material that proposes a new panorama of opportunities for creative disciplines.
